Ethiopian Yirgacheffe

As I’ve aged my coffee tastes have changed so I keep trying different origins and strengths. I’m enjoying this Ethiopian for Americanos and Cappuccinos. I’ve been surprised that this light roast is so good.

Sipping my first cup of Stone Street Yirgacheffe, and now I have a new favorite coffee. Light roast, yes, but maybe on the cusp of medium, with a slight bit of carmelization. Perfect.

I have always been a fan of light or medium roasts. Over the past two years I have bought this about 20 times. The roast tends to be consistent in the light-medium range. This is my favorite for east African coffees.

This is my first purchase from this company. My local roaster has not had Ethiopian in ages, and I saw this and decided to give it a try.
This is a spectacular coffee! It is bright without being too acidic, it has a good mouth feel without being too heavy, it has a consistent flavor with a finishing note that has a really good tone. I don't really know how to describe coffee, I'm very picky about it, but I don't know coffee terminology very well. So I would say it has a very slight earthiness and a bit if fruitiness. It has a lightness to it without being weak in any way. If that makes any sense to you, great! If it doesn't, then I'll just say it's one of my favorite coffees I've ever had and I have really had a lot of coffee over my 63 years.
The company was also really good to work with.

It's OK to drink but beans doesn't have enough aroma. More like stale or too old. Definitely not fresh batch. I couldn't confirm roast date since it doesn't come with such information as specialty coffee should be.
