Ethiopia Harrar

Always a favorite!!

Ordered Ethiopian and found the coffee full flavored and very fresh. Will definitely order again.

I’ve tried quite a few of the great Stone Street coffees and I can truthfully say I’ve never been disappointed. I’m not an expert, but I know when a brew is average or worse. No SS brew has ever let me down. I’ve tried other delivery coffee companies, but Stone Street is real quality, delivered fresh at a fair price. I usually purchase several coffee varietals with each order and enjoy the wide range available. Give it a try.

First off, it is nice to see a coffee roaster that sells coffee in one pound bags instead of 12 ounce bags. I was looking for other coffee suppliers besides the one’s I usually use. Most suppliers only sell coffee in 12 ounce bags with limited regional varieties. I found Stone Street Coffee and after looking at their site decided to try their Ethiopian Harrar light roast and Sumatra Mandhling dark roast. I had just bought a Chemex brewer, 1zpressor LX grinder and a gooseneck kettle to up my coffee experience. My first brew for each coffee was decent but not quite as good as I would like. I was using a 16:1 water to coffee ratio with medium course grind but brewing at 205 degrees. I decided to continue to use the medium course grind for both coffee types but drop the water temperature to 195 degrees. The coffee was a lot better, smoother, flavorful. I am not a coffee expert by any means so I can’t tell you the flavor profiles.

The website was well thought out and easy to read, ordering was quick and shipping was fast. The smell was wonderful when I opened the bags. When the coffee arrived the beans were fresh with a nice shiny exterior. Overall I would give these two coffee’s a 5/5. I will be back to try other varieties Stone Street Coffee offers.
